BrightBud is designed for children. We take privacy seriously and aim to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and other applicable privacy laws.

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Snidhi Labs LLC ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"), the developer of the BrightBud mobile application ("App"), collects, uses, and protects information when you use the App. This policy applies to all users, including parents or guardians ("Parents") and child profiles created by Parents.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information from Parents

Email address and display name when creating a Parent account
Authentication data handled securely through Firebase Authentication
Payment information processed securely by Apple App Store or Google Play Store; we do not see or store payment card details

2.2 Information from Child Profiles

First name, used only for display within the App
Grade level, used to provide age-appropriate content
State, used to align practice content with relevant educational standards

We do not collect last names, photos, precise location data, or contact information directly from children.

2.3 Usage Data

Practice results, scores, answers, and progress data to provide feedback and track improvement
Anonymous usage data, such as feature usage and app performance metrics, collected through Firebase Analytics to improve app stability, performance, and learning experience

4. COPPA Compliance

BrightBud is committed to complying with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

Parental consent is required before a child profile is created
Children cannot create accounts independently
We collect only the minimum information reasonably necessary to provide the educational service
Parents can review, modify, or delete their child's information at any time
We do not serve behavioral advertising to children
We do not sell or share children's personal information for marketing purposes

5. Children's Privacy

BrightBud is intended for children in elementary grades and is designed to be used by Parents on behalf of their children.

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children without verifiable parental consent. All child profiles are created and managed through a Parent account.

If you believe that we have collected personal information from a child without appropriate parental consent, please contact us and we will take steps to investigate and delete the information as appropriate.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal information.

We may share limited information only with trusted service providers that help us operate the App:

Firebase (Google) – used for authentication, secure data storage, and anonymous analytics. Firebase processes data according to Google's privacy terms.
RevenueCat – used for subscription management and related entitlement handling.
Apple App Store / Google Play – used for in-app payment processing and subscription billing.
Legal authorities – if required by law or reasonably necessary to protect users, rights, or safety.

7. Advertising

BrightBud contains no advertisements. The App is a paid or subscription-based service and does not display ads to children or Parents.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable security measures, including:

Encrypted data transmission using HTTPS/TLS
Secure authentication through Firebase Authentication
Access controls and database security rules
No storage of payment card credentials by BrightBud

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect information using industry-standard safeguards.

9. Data Retention

We retain data while an account remains active.

If a Parent deletes their account:

Child profiles and related progress data are permanently deleted
Parent account information is removed from our systems
Anonymous aggregated analytics may be retained where they do not identify an individual user

10. Parental Rights

Parents may:

Access their child's information
Modify child profile details
Delete child profiles
Delete their account and associated data
Contact us for privacy-related questions or requests

11. Data Deletion Requests

Parents may request deletion of their account and associated child data by using in-app account controls, if available, or by contacting us at support@snidhilabs.com.

12. Third-Party Links

The App is not intended to provide third-party website access directly to children. Any external account or subscription management links are intended for Parents in parent-authenticated areas only.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify users through the App or by email. The updated version will always show a revised "Last updated" date.
